A privileged observatory for the entire religious tourist system, Aurea has made itself promoter of accurate analysis of this market, commissioning to important Institutes three researches from which the incessant positive trend of this specific tourist market clearly emerged.
Despite the economic crisis, the field analysts have forecast remarkable increases: a natural push to the territories economy connected above all to the tourist flows coming outside the season.
In 2005 the markets analysis executed by Trademark Italia with the research “religious tourism: numbers and trends of a quick developing phenomenon”, in 2008 by ISTUR with the research “travelling towards places of faith: from history to nature, from culture to art” and in 2009 by a researcher of the IULM University of Milan with the research “Pilgrimage and religious tourism: the valorisation of ecclesiastic goods as an experience of faith and culture”.
